Dual-Gradient Drilling Well Control Methodology
WEI is preparing its 2010 course on deepwater drilling engineering and well control, to include methodology of dual-graident well control equipment and procedures for deepwater floating dual-gradient drilling operations worldwide.
Dual gradient drilling, in some offshore areas, refers to subsea floating drilling operations without the use of a riser ( riserless ), or with the use of a riser filled with seawater, but using seafloor mud pumps to pump the drilling mud and cuttings back to the floating drilling rig, usually in the surface holes and below.
